Eric Brevig (Director)
Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor and second unit director Eric Brevig makes his feature film directorial debut with Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D, the first high definition, narrative feature film to be captured and projected entirely in digital 3-D.
As one of the industry's most sought-after visual effects experts, Brevig supervised several of Hollywood's most complex effects films, including Men in Black, The Day After Tomorrow, Signs, Pearl Harbor and Total Recall, for which he won an Academy Award for Special Achievement in Visual Effects.
Brevig was also nominated for Oscars for his work in Pearl Harbor and Hook. In addition, he was nominated for the Saturn and BAFTA awards for his work on The Day After Tomorrow and Men in Black.
As the first to employ groundbreaking technology, Brevig combines his boundless imagination with his technical acuity to create the vast and spectacular world of Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D. As his vision comes to fruition, audiences worldwide will experience the magnitude of the adventure in state-of-the-art digitally-projected 3D.
Charlotte Huggins (Producer)
Veteran writer-producer, Charlotte Huggins has the distinction of being the single most prolific producer of 3-D motion pictures in the world. The multi-faceted creator of new media entertainment has spent more than 20 years in television, commercials, special venue and feature film production. She was recently named one of The Hollywood Reporter's "Digital 50"- a group comprised of producers and innovators who distinguished themselves in the realm of new media storytelling in 2007. Other honorees included Steve Jobs, John Lasseter, Peter Jackson and Robert Zemeckis. Huggins has two 3-D motion pictures, one live action and the other animated, set for release summer 2008.
In addition to Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D, Huggins also produced Fly Me to the Moon, a 3-D digitally-animated feature-length production from nWave Pictures. The film stars the voice talents of Tim Curry, Nicollette Sheridan, Kelly Ripa, Christopher Lloyd and Trevor Gagnon with a cameo performance from famed astronaut Buzz Aldrin. It is directed by Ben Stassen, CEO of nWave Pictures and veteran 3-D film director. Fly Me to the Moon will be distributed by Summit Entertainment for release August 22nd, 2008.
As a first time writer/producer, Huggins made Interview 15, a docudrama honored by both the New York and Berlin Film Festivals as "Best Educational Film." Huggins later served two years as story editor and writer for television legend Roy Huggins on the hit NBC TV series "Hunter," produced by Stephen J. Cannell Productions.
Huggins was soon offered a position at Boss Film Studios producing national Clio Award-winning commercials (Magnavox, United Airlines). Here she discovered her passion for special format production as a producer of the 1993 World Expo attraction Journey to Technopia. She went on to work on a number of highly successful large format films including Disney's 3-D theme park attraction Honey I Shrunk the Audience,
Sony Pictures Classics' 3-D film Wings of Courage, LG Group's 35mm 3-D attraction Ahead of Time and the "King Kong" sequence in WGBH/NOVA's Special Effects: Anything Can Happen.
As one of the founders of nWave Pictures, a Brussels-based digital studio, Huggins held the position of President and Head of Production for 10 years, serving as producer of all of nWave's special venue and giant screen productions including Thrill Ride: The Sciece of Fun, 3-D Mania: Encounter in the Third Dimension, Alien Adventure (3-D), Haunted Castle (3-D), SOS Planet (3-D), Misadventures in 3-D and Wild Safari 3-D.
Huggins has held positions on the Boards of Directors of nWave Pictures, the Visual Effects Society and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. She is currently a member of the Producers Guild of America, where she serves on the New Media Council Board, and an emeritus member of the Writer's Guild of America West.
She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in International Politics. She studied at the Lycee Camille St. Saens in Rouen, France, and at the Universita Per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy.
Huggins is married with two children and resides in Los Angeles, California.
Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson launched their New Line Cinema based production company, Contrafilm, in March 2004. Since Contrafilm's inception, Flynn and Vinson have earned over $500 Million in worldwide box office gross.
The first film released under their banner was After the Sunset, which was helmed by Brett Ratner. Also produced by Contrafilm, in conjunction with Lakeshore, is Screen Gem's The Exorcism of Emily Rose, directed by Scott Derrickson, which not only grossed in excess of $150 Million worldwide, but was also one of the most profitable and successful films of 2005. Easter of 2006 Flynn and Vinson released their the CG film, The Wild for Disney, which has grossed over $100 Million worldwide. In the fall of 2006 Flynn and Vinson produced The Guardian for Disney's Touchstone Pictures, starring Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. In February of 2007 the duo released the Jim Carrey thriller, The Number 23, also starring Virginia Madsen and directed by Joel Schumacher for New Line Cinema.
Contrafilm also produced Choke, written and directed by Clark Gregg and based on the best selling novel by Chuck Palahniuk. Choke premiered in dramatic competition at Sundance 2008.
Next up for Contrafilm are the films Conrail, Cryptozoologists, Interman and The King of Kong which are also set up at New Line.
Prior to Contrafilm, Flynn was a partner at The Firm where he ran the motion picture and television production divisions. Flynn also produced the critically acclaimed films Tigerland, Requiem for a Dream, The House of Yes, The Alarmist, Guinevere and Johns. After graduating from NYU, Flynn's first job in the industry was as Scott Rudin's first assistant.
Vinson first worked with Flynn at Bandeira Entertainment in 2000 and then headed up Firm Films. Vinson started in Hollywood at Jerry Bruckheimer Films, after he graduated from USC.
