Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor and second unit director Eric Brevig makes his feature film directorial debut with Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D, the first high definition, narrative feature film to be captured and projected entirely in digital 3-D.
As one of the industry's most sought-after visual effects experts, Brevig supervised several of Hollywood's most complex effects films, including Men in Black, The Day After Tomorrow, Signs, Pearl Harbor and Total Recall, for which he won an Academy Award for Special Achievement in Visual Effects.
Brevig was also nominated for Oscars for his work in Pearl Harbor and Hook. In addition, he was nominated for the Saturn and BAFTA awards for his work on The Day After Tomorrow and Men in Black.
